Taking control of the column layot using section and column breaks
If you go to the layout section in the columns menu, you can specify the layout of columns, but by default it will change the layout for the whole document.
If you first specify the section layout simply by placing the cursor, and then go to Breaks, Section Breaks, Next Page, you can control the layout of the columns by providing multiple columns before and after the break. Now you can change the layout of columns without starting a new page.
