Converting a table to plain text in Microsoft Word

In order to convert a table to standard text in Microsoft Word, highlight the whole table by clicking the cross at the top left of the table.

Click the Layout tab and then click Convert to Text. Select the text separator you need.

For example, tabs. Here’s the problem. The text is jagged and it will take too long to align with the tab key.

We can convert it to a table by highlighting all the text, changing to the “Insert” tab, selecting “Convert text to table” under the table, in a separate area for adding text, choose a separator, which will highlight the word to divide the text into columns. In this case I have a dash (-) mark.
