Changing the page orientation in Microsoft Word

If you work in Microsoft Word, it is possible to use both portrait and landscape pages in a single document. Here is the document that is completely in portrait orientation. Try the page in landscape format. I scroll to the end of the last page and click to place my cursor at the end of the document.

At the bottom of the layout toolbar I click on breaks and then click on the next page. This inserts a new page, which is displayed in portrait format like the previous pages.

However, to alter it, all I have to do is click on the orientation button and select landscape here, and here it is.

Now I have a page where I have a wide table, and it’s much easier to display an 8-column table in this way.

Then when you want to go back to portrait orientation in the next page, you go back to the layout ribbon, click Breaks and select the next page, and again the new page takes the orientation from the previous page, but now we know that all we have to do is click the orientation button and select portrait. You can keep using this method to create any mix of portrait and landscape pages in your document as needed.
